In Dreams
06:18
|
|||
On the evening that you drew your final breath
I never thought that I’d see your face again
But the mark you left on the fabric of my soul
Was far too grand to be lost to the wear of time
Reborn in dreams, I see you at night
A vision of yesterday; a long past life
to comfort me until the first morning light
in a tranquil slumber, devoid of strife
In dreams
I am not alone
In lucidity
I can hold you close
In Dreams (Continued)
You my friend are oh so beautiful to me
An illusion that exists without place or time
Imprisoned within these fleeting memories of mine
Coming back to remind me in visions divine
And tonight
Memory will flow
And though tears may fall
Love can never die

Wander
04:12
|
|||
Down to the water line
Is where we spend our time this summer night
Mountains block out the sky
And I see your heart in mine
Calm lake waters flood my mind
The peace is broken by our spirits flying high
Aware of a bond we never knew
Naked souls embracing truth
And I say: “Will you walk with me?”
“Will you walk with me tonight?”
“Oh, will you walk with me?”, I cry
“Will you wander by my side?”
Ashes taking to the sky
As dark is pierced but by dying fire light
We share tales of life and hope restored
Through the laughter and the tears my waking spirit soars

Left Behind
05:42
|
|||
Like blossoms in the wind, we’re floating on through time
And I can feel the distance grow between you and I
Oh I have fought so hard against fate and time,
but my well of strength has finally run dry
But I have not forgotten you
And all the ill that we’ve been through
For you, my friend, were always there
Through all the pain, all the despair
But why long for what we two have left behind
When the future shines so bright for you and I
For I am so much more because of you, my friend
The echoes of yesteryear still ring true in my head
I have not forgotten you
And all the joy and love we knew
For you, my friend, were always there
No matter when, no matter where

Windsong
04:45
|
|||
Sunlight shone through the gray
Gleaming through; breaking of day
The rain surely will not stay
For seasons change and take it away
Spirits rise from the haze
Riding high in the blaze
We breathe the air and stare amazed
In shining light, the gray decays
Windsong blow the darkness away
Winter surely will give way
Let light overwhelm all pain
Embrace this radiant young day

West
05:43
|
|||
This summer day is growing weary
I can feel the sunlight fading away
The sea burns in crimson shades,
Reflected in the mirror of the waves
The road weaves and bends beneath me
To gravel the pavement gives way
Upon it, my mind drifts and sways
As time itself passes away
Westward I go
Travelling toward the unknown
Westward I fly
Following a light in the sky
The night lurks behind a corner in time
But for now, there is a glimmer of light
A glorious fire fuels my western flight
Soaring through a dream of cedar and pine
When at last I arrive
And breathe the briny ocean air
The coast shines like I’ve never seen before
And the breeze transfixes my soul
Westward I retire
Toward distant mountain spires
Westward I soar
To greet the pacific shore
It’s so beautiful tonight
In this serene corner of paradise
As twilight falls, I’ll close my eyes
To sleep beneath the pale moonlight
